  • Hydro jetting businesses
  • Drainage contractors

  • Septic companies

Our services include:

  • SEO
  • Google Business Profile management
  • Google Ads
  • Website design and development
  • Reputation management
  • AI search optimization
  • Lead generation
  • LeadWise and CRM automation

Local visibility is a major part of what we do.

For many of our clients, Google Maps can be one of the most valuable sources of calls and leads.

About the Role

The Local SEO Specialist will be responsible for improving how client businesses appear across local search.

You may work on:

  • Google Business Profile optimization
  • Google Maps visibility
  • Local keyword research
  • Service-area SEO
  • Location pages
  • Review strategy
  • Citation management
  • NAP consistency
  • Local competitor research
  • Local grid tracking
  • GBP suspensions and reinstatement support
  • Multi-location SEO

This role requires someone who understands that local SEO is much more than filling out a Google Business Profile.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Google Business Profile Optimization

Review and optimize client profiles for:

  • Business information
  • Categories
  • Services
  • Business descriptions
  • Website links
  • Service areas
  • Hours
  • Photos
  • Google Posts
  • Q&A
  • Tracking

The goal is to make the profile accurate, complete, useful, and aligned with the client's broader website strategy.

Category Strategy

Review:

  • Primary categories
  • Secondary categories
  • Competitor categories
  • Service relevance

Categories should accurately represent the business.

We do not use unrelated categories simply to chase rankings.

Services Optimization

Make sure each Google Business Profile reflects the actual services the company offers.

That may include services such as:

  • Sewer repair
  • Drain cleaning
  • Hydro jetting
  • Camera inspection
  • Pipe lining
  • Pipe bursting
  • Drainage
  • Septic services

You should understand how GBP services relate to website content.

Google Maps Visibility

Monitor how clients perform geographically across target markets.

You may use local grid tracking to identify:

  • Strong ranking areas
  • Weak ranking areas
  • Competitor dominance
  • Geographic gaps
  • Changes over time

A single ranking check from one location is not enough.

We want to understand the broader market.

Service-Area SEO

Many No Dig clients are service-area businesses.

You should understand how to build legitimate local relevance through:

  • Service-area pages
  • Local project content
  • Reviews
  • Internal linking
  • Local citations
  • Local backlinks
  • Google Business Profile

You should also understand what not to do.

We do not want thin city pages or fake locations created purely for rankings.

Location Page Strategy

Help determine:

  • Which markets deserve dedicated pages
  • Which services should be highlighted locally
  • How location pages should differ
  • How they should connect with service pages

You may work with writers and SEO specialists to build or improve these pages.

Review Strategy

Help clients create more consistent review-generation systems.

This may include:

  • Review request workflows
  • Google review links
  • Review monitoring
  • Review responses
  • Review placement on websites
  • LeadWise review automation

The objective is authentic customer feedback.

We do not support fake, purchased, or manipulated reviews.

Review Responses

Help maintain professional responses to both positive and negative reviews.

Responses should:

  • Sound natural
  • Remain professional
  • Avoid repetitive templates
  • Address concerns appropriately
  • Reinforce trust

Local Citations

Review and improve business information across relevant directories.

This may include:

  • Business name
  • Address where applicable
  • Phone
  • Website
  • Hours

You may work on listings across:

  • Major directories
  • Maps platforms
  • Local directories
  • Relevant industry directories

Accuracy matters more than blindly submitting to hundreds of low-quality sites.

NAP Consistency

Identify inconsistencies involving:

  • Business name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Website

You should understand how tracking numbers, location changes, and old listings can create citation issues.

Local Competitor Research

Analyze competitors to understand:

  • Categories
  • Reviews
  • Maps visibility
  • Service coverage
  • Website relevance
  • Citations
  • Local authority

The goal is to identify realistic opportunities, not copy every competitor tactic.

Google Posts

Create or coordinate relevant Google Business Profile posts around:

  • Services
  • Real projects
  • Seasonal needs
  • Educational topics
  • Business updates

Posts should be useful and aligned with the client’s services.

Photos & Media

Help ensure profiles use real business imagery wherever possible.

This may include:

  • Jobs
  • Equipment
  • Trucks
  • Team members
  • Before-and-after images

Real media is more valuable than generic stock imagery.

GBP Suspensions & Reinstatement

Support the team in reviewing profiles that have been:

  • Suspended
  • Disabled
  • Unverified
  • Flagged

Responsibilities may include:

  • Reviewing profile information
  • Identifying potential policy issues
  • Collecting documentation
  • Preparing reinstatement requests
  • Tracking the process

You should understand that Google makes the final decision.

We do not guarantee reinstatement.

Multi-Location SEO

For businesses with multiple legitimate locations, help maintain:

  • Individual Google Business Profiles
  • Location pages
  • Local tracking
  • Reviews
  • Local content
  • Correct business information
  • Lead routing

Each location should have a legitimate local presence.

What We're Looking For

You should have a practical understanding of:

  • Google Business Profile
  • Google Maps rankings
  • Local SEO
  • Service-area businesses
  • Reviews
  • Citations
  • NAP consistency
  • Local landing pages
  • Local keyword research
  • Competitor analysis

You should be comfortable troubleshooting local-search problems rather than simply following a setup checklist.

Experience We Value

Strong candidates may have experience with:

  • U.S. local businesses
  • Home service companies
  • Service-area businesses
  • Multi-location SEO
  • GBP optimization
  • Local grid tracking
  • Citation cleanup
  • Review management
  • GBP verification
  • GBP suspension/reinstatement cases

Experience in sewer, drain, plumbing, or trenchless marketing is helpful but not required.

Tools & Platforms You'll Work With

Depending on the campaign, tools may include:

  • Google Business Profile
  • Google Search
  • Google Search Console
  • Google Analytics 4
  • Local grid tracking platforms
  • Citation tools
  • Ahrefs or similar platforms
  • Screaming Frog
  • LeadWise
  • GoHighLevel
  • Call tracking
  • AI tools
  • Project management platforms

You do not need to know every platform before joining.

You should understand the principles behind the work.

What Success Looks Like

Success may include:

  • Improved Google Maps visibility
  • Broader geographic ranking coverage
  • Better GBP completeness and accuracy
  • More customer actions
  • More qualified calls and leads
  • Consistent review growth
  • Fewer citation inconsistencies
  • Better alignment between GBP and website
  • Stronger location pages
  • Clearer reporting

We do not measure local SEO success only by whether one keyword moves from position four to position three.

We care about whether the company becomes easier to find across its actual service market.

How We Think About Local SEO

Accuracy Comes First

A profile should accurately represent the real business.

We do not use fake:

  • Locations
  • Business names
  • Categories
  • Reviews

for short-term ranking gains.

Google Maps and the Website Work Together

A strong Google Business Profile cannot completely compensate for a weak website.

Local visibility is supported by:

  • Service content
  • Local relevance
  • Reviews
  • Authority
  • Internal links
  • Technical SEO

Proximity Matters

Google Maps rankings are geographic.

A business may rank strongly near its location and weakly farther away.

You should understand this before making recommendations or explaining results to clients.

Reviews Matter Beyond Rankings

Reviews influence:

  • Trust
  • Conversion
  • Reputation
  • Local prominence

A company with excellent visibility but weak reviews can still lose customers.

We Care About Customer Actions

Local rankings are useful.

But we also want to know whether the profile is generating:

  • Calls
  • Website visits
  • Leads

Local SEO should support business outcomes.

Nice to Have

Helpful experience includes:

  • Basic technical SEO
  • Google Ads knowledge
  • Schema
  • Local link building
  • Call tracking
  • Conversion tracking
  • CRM attribution
  • Reputation management
  • Working with content writers
  • Working with U.S. clients

Communication Matters

You may need to explain why:

  • Rankings differ across a city
  • Adding service areas does not guarantee rankings
  • Reviews take time to build
  • A website needs stronger local relevance
  • A Google profile should not be manipulated

You should be able to explain local SEO in straightforward language.

Remote Work

This is a remote position.

Because most of our clients are based in the United States, some overlap with U.S. business hours may be required.

Specific scheduling expectations will be discussed during the hiring process.

What We Offer

Depending on the final employment arrangement, this role may include:

  • Remote work
  • Specialized local SEO experience
  • Direct exposure to Google Business Profile strategy
  • Experience with service-area and multi-location businesses
  • Collaboration with SEO, content, paid search, web, and automation teams
  • Opportunity to work on measurable local-search campaigns

Compensation and employment terms will be discussed with qualified candidates.
