About No Dig Trenchless Marketing
No Dig Trenchless Marketing is a specialized digital marketing agency serving businesses in the sewer, drain, trenchless, pipe lining, hydro jetting, drainage, plumbing and drain, and septic industries.
Our work includes:
- SEO
- Google Business Profile management
- Google Ads
- Website design and development
- Reputation management
- AI search optimization
- Lead generation
- CRM and LeadWise automation
We focus heavily on local and service-based search, where visibility needs to translate into calls, forms, estimates, and booked work.
About the Role
The SEO Specialist will help plan, execute, and improve organic search strategies across client websites.
You may work on:
- Technical SEO
- Keyword research
- Site architecture
- Service pages
- Location pages
- Internal linking
- Content optimization
- Search Console analysis
- Competitor research
- Backlink opportunities
- Conversion-focused improvements
This is not a role where success is measured by how many tasks you complete.
We care about whether the work improves the client’s search visibility and supports lead generation.
What You'll Be Responsible For
SEO Audits
Review websites for issues involving:
- Crawlability
- Indexation
- Internal linking
- Site architecture
- Duplicate content
- Metadata
- Heading structure
- Page speed
- Technical errors
- Search intent
- Content quality
The goal is to identify the issues that actually matter.
Keyword Research
Research search demand around:
- Core services
- Supporting services
- Local intent
- Service areas
- Informational topics
- Commercial intent
- Competitor opportunities
You should be able to distinguish between a keyword that looks good in a tool and one that could realistically help the business grow.
Site Architecture
Help structure websites around:
- Services
- Locations
- Supporting content
- Case studies
- Internal links
For example, a trenchless company may need a structure supporting:
- Sewer repair
- Pipe lining
- Pipe bursting
- Hydro jetting
- Camera inspection
- Service areas
rather than one generic Services page.
On-Page SEO
Optimize existing and new pages using:
- SEO titles
- Meta descriptions
- H1/H2/H3 structure
- Content improvements
- Internal links
- Image alt text
- Relevant schema
- Search intent alignment
Optimization should make pages clearer and more useful, not turn them into keyword-stuffed content.
Content Strategy
Work with writers and other team members to identify:
- Missing service pages
- Location opportunities
- Content gaps
- Comparison topics
- Customer questions
- High-value informational content
You may also create or review content briefs.
Internal Linking
Build stronger relationships between:
- Service pages
- Location pages
- Blog content
- Case studies
- Supporting resources
Internal linking should help both users and search engines understand the site.
Technical SEO
Review and help resolve issues involving:
- XML sitemaps
- Robots.txt
- Canonical tags
- Redirects
- Broken links
- Indexation
- Crawl issues
- Mobile usability
- Page speed
- Core Web Vitals
- Schema
You do not need to be a full-stack developer, but you should understand the technical fundamentals.
Google Search Console Analysis
Use Search Console to identify:
- Query growth
- Ranking opportunities
- Page performance
- CTR issues
- Indexation problems
- Search demand
- Declining pages
You should be comfortable using real search data to guide decisions.
Competitor Research
Review competitors to understand:
- Service coverage
- Site structure
- Content
- Local presence
- Backlinks
- Search visibility
- Gaps we can realistically exploit
The goal is not to copy competitors.
It is to understand the market.
Reporting
Help explain SEO performance using meaningful metrics such as:
- Organic clicks
- Impressions
- Rankings
- Leads
- Calls
- Forms
- Landing-page performance
Reports should help answer:
What changed?
Why?
What should we do next?
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who understands SEO well enough to make decisions, not just follow instructions.
You should be comfortable with:
- Technical SEO fundamentals
- Keyword research
- Search intent
- On-page SEO
- Site architecture
- Internal linking
- Local SEO concepts
- Content strategy
- SEO reporting
- Competitor analysis
You should also be able to explain your reasoning clearly.
Experience We Value
Strong candidates may have experience with:
- Local SEO
- Home service businesses
- Multi-location companies
- Service-area businesses
- Lead-generation websites
- U.S. clients
- Technical audits
- SEO migrations
- Content strategy
Experience in sewer, drain, plumbing, or related industries is helpful but not required.
We can teach the niche.
You should already understand SEO.
Tools & Platforms You'll Work With
Depending on the project, you may work with:
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics 4
- Google Tag Manager
- Screaming Frog
- Ahrefs or similar SEO platforms
- Google Business Profile
- Local SEO tools
- Website platforms and builders
- LeadWise
- GoHighLevel
- AI tools
- Project management software
You do not need experience with every tool listed.
You should be comfortable learning new platforms when needed.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role may include:
- Stronger rankings for priority services
- More organic clicks
- Better visibility across target markets
- Improved service-page performance
- Better internal linking
- Fewer technical SEO issues
- Stronger local relevance
- More qualified calls and forms
- Clearer SEO reporting
- Better prioritization of work
The goal is not simply:
Increase traffic.
The better question is:
Did we improve visibility for the searches that matter to the client?
How We Think About SEO
Business Impact Comes First
A broken indexation setup matters more than a minor metadata issue.
A missing high-value service page may matter more than publishing another blog post.
Prioritization is a major part of the job.
Search Intent Matters More Than Keyword Density
We do not optimize content by repeating keywords unnaturally.
Pages should satisfy the reason someone searched.
Content Should Be Useful
AI can help with research and drafting, but generic content is not the standard.
Content should include:
- Real service information
- Clear answers
- Useful structure
- Proper internal links
- Business-specific context
SEO and Conversion Are Connected
A page that ranks but fails to generate inquiries still needs work.
We pay attention to:
- CTAs
- Trust
- Mobile usability
- Forms
- Phone visibility
- Page structure
Local SEO Is Part of the Bigger Picture
For many clients, organic rankings and Google Maps visibility work together.
You should understand how:
- Website relevance
- Google Business Profile
- Reviews
- Citations
- Local pages
can support one another.
Nice to Have
These are helpful but not mandatory:
- Experience with Google Business Profile
- Local grid ranking tools
- Basic HTML/CSS
- Schema knowledge
- Conversion-rate optimization
- Call tracking
- CRM attribution
- Link-building experience
- Website migration experience
- Experience working with developers or writers
Communication Matters
You may collaborate with:
- SEO team members
- Writers
- Web designers and developers
- Client success managers
- Paid search specialists
- Leadership
You should be able to:
- Explain recommendations clearly
- Document work
- Ask questions when needed
- Flag problems early
- Take feedback professionally
